Stockholms Bränneri takes home the highest profit with its gin in one of the world’s most prestigious competitions in the industry. It’s clear when the results of the San Francisco World Spirits Competition are published.

Stockholms Bränneri OAK Gin takes home what the competition calls “double gold” in this year’s edition of SFWSC.

– We can hardly understand that it is true. This shows that all the love and time we spend on our products pays off. This prize means that all judges (a total of 48) have anonymously scored our gin with the highest score (gold) and then the gold medal turns into a “double gold”. It’s big, says Anna Wikner proudly, co-founder and master distiller at Stockholms Bränneri.

One of the world’s most recognized competitions The

competition in San Francisco is one of the most recognized in the industry and this year in the eighteenth edition more than 2200 entries participated and over 40 judges, many of whom are big names in the spirits industry, are responsible for the assessment. If you become a medalist in the competition, you are recognized as one of the best products in the world. Stockholms Bränneris Dry Gin also won a medal in the competition and received a Silver Medal, which is an incredibly fine stamp of quality.

Previous medals to Stockholms Bränneri

Stockholms Bränneris gin has only been available on the market for almost a year and a half. They have already won these fine awards and they also received fine medals at the IWSC (International Wine & Spirits Competition) this summer. The products are currently sold in 8 international markets, including Denmark, Italy, Japan, Australia and Russia. In Sweden, their gin is sold on the shelf at 10 system companies in Stockholm, and via order to the whole country, but also at Arlanda and at most of the country’s best restaurants and bars. During their first financial year 2016/17, 20,000 bottles of gin were produced and sold.
